Players of Pakistan Cricket team are gearing up with strong military training at boot camp jointly organized by PCB and Pakistan Army ahead of Pakistan’s tour to England.
The boot camp started on Saturday but first visual glimpse of training was released on Tuesday by the Pakistan Cricket Board which showed players receiving military training under Army’s supervision.
Videos released by PCB showed Pakistan Cricketers jumping on stairs and going thru uphill running. This training – according to a player – was designed to improve players’ endurance power.
“We are enjoying the session and I am sure this will help all of us in the future,” said a Cricketer who didn’t want to be named.
“Training is very, very tough but we realize that this is being done for our improvement,” he added.
According to reports trainers at the boot camp have designed three sessions for Pakistani Cricketers.
Earlier on Sunday, a TV channel reported that Pakistani Cricketers were tasked to run one mile in less than six minutes and only two Cricketers – Shaan Masood and Fawad Alam – were able to achieve the target successfully.
