COAS reviews progress of Shawal operation

SHAWAL: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited to North Waziristan’s district of Shawal reviewed the progress of the last phase of military operation in the region.

As per Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS was advised briefed more than 800 Sq-kilometers of the range has been secured following the last phase of the operation was launched.The COAS acknowledged the exceptional achievements of Pakistan Army while lauding the successful completion of Shawal operation.

The Army Chief guided the troops to attempt huge scale fighting operations to search out terrorists, sleeper cells and their facilitators in ranges others than Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and upgrade the compass of the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).

The Army Chief directed the troops to undertake large scale combating operations to seek out terrorists, sleeper cells and their facilitators in areas others than Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA)  and enhance the reach of the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).

Addressing officers and men in Shawal, COAS Raheel Sharif has said that the country values the penances being rendered by the military.
