Sindh picks up Mohammad Amir in Pakistan Cup Draft

 The drafting process for 150 Pakistani players is about to be start in Lahore. A lot of international and domestic players who have performed well in the past have been listed for the drafts. There are 5 teams participating in this Pent-angular Cup.

All four provinces have been taken as a team and the fifth slot is for the Federal team. Pakistan’s test captain Misbah Ul Haq is leading the Federal team, Shoaib Malik is the head of Punjab team, Sarfraz captains Sindh, Younis Khan is to lead KPK and Azhar Ali is to wear captain’s cap for Baluchistan.

This is for the first time that PCB is placing the drafting procedure for a domestic tournament. the rules have been applied same as seen in the PSL. Chairman Shaharyar Khan called it the new innovation to Pakistan’s domestic cricket. The uniforms for each team was also unveiled at the ceremony. Haier Group has once again stepped forward as the leading sponsor for the tournament. Each provincial team also has its own co-sponsors.

Federal team will get the first pick. second goes to Sarfraz’ Sindh team, third pick Shoaib’s Punjab, fourth pick Younis’s KPK and final pick is with Azhar’s Baluchistan. All five teams have to pick at least one Under-19 player and three domestic player from the same region. Shahid Afridi will not take part in this cup due to personal commitments. Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz are also out of the tournament because of injuries.

Pakistan’s former skipper Shahid Afridi opted not to play in this tournament due to some personal issues which is why he was not picked up by any side. Nobody picked up Mohammad Asif in their squad.
