KARACHI: At least two Al-Qaeda terrorists were killed in an armed encounter with security personnel in Karachi area of Quaidabad in Sunday’s wee hours.
The personnel of Counterterrorism Department In-charge Raja Umar Khattab, CTD of Karachi police raided an area in Ahsanabad where exchange of gunfire ensued. The armed encounter wrapped up with the killing of two terrorists.
According to CTD officials, the killed terrorists belonged to Al-Qaeda Sub-Continent.
The terrorists have been identified as Arshad and Umair with head money worth Rs.5 million and Rs.500,000 respectively.
Briefing the media about the incident, CTD chief said the killed saboteurs were wanted in attacks on police and Rangers.
